0 UUIDs
Generate UUIDs of version 4, 7, 1, 5, or 3 in batches of up to 1,000, or the nil and max values. Format them for code with uppercase, braces, quotes, or commas. A built-in inspector reads the version, variant, and embedded timestamp of any UUID.
Pick a Version. Version 4 is random; Version 7 is time-ordered and suits database keys.
Set How many, or for Version 5 and 3 choose a Namespace and enter one name per line in Names.
Adjust the Format toggles: Uppercase, Hyphens, Braces { }, Wrap in quotes, or Comma after each.
Click Copy all or .txt to save the list, or click a single UUID to copy it. Generate new makes a fresh batch.
Version 4 and the random parts of Version 7 come from your browser's cryptographic random number generator, and nothing is generated on a server.
Use v7 for database primary keys: its first 48 bits are a millisecond timestamp, so values sort by creation time and index well. Use v4 when order doesn't matter.
No. This page uses a random node ID with the multicast bit set, as RFC 9562 recommends, so the UUID never reveals your hardware.
v5 and v3 are name-based: the same namespace and name always produce the same UUID. That is useful for stable IDs derived from URLs or domain names.
Paste it into Inspect a UUID. It accepts values with or without hyphens, braces, or urn:uuid: and shows the version, variant, and timestamp where one exists.
