    How to use Unlock PDF

Remove the password from PDFs you can already open, so they open without one. Drop several files at once, enter the password, and download each unlocked copy or all of them as a ZIP. The password is used only in this browser tab.

    1. 1

Drop one or more password-protected PDFs; each file is checked for protection.

    2. 2

Type the Current password, either the open password or the owner password.

    3. 3

Click Unlock PDF (or Unlock N PDFs for several files).

    4. 4

Download each unlocked file, or use Download all (ZIP).

    Frequently asked questions

Can it unlock a PDF if I don't know the password?

No. This tool does not crack or guess passwords; it removes protection only when you enter the correct one.

My PDF opens but won't let me print or copy. Can I fix that?

That file is restricted by an owner password. Enter the owner password to remove the restrictions.

My files have different passwords. What should I do?

Every file is tried with the password you enter. Files that need another one stay locked, so type the next password and unlock again.

Is the password or the file uploaded?

No. Both stay in your browser; the password is never stored or sent anywhere.

Is anything else changed in the unlocked file?

Only the encryption is removed. Each result is checked to open without a password and keep all its pages before it is offered for download.
