1D barcodes
Letters, digits and symbols (ASCII). Picks the most compact encoding automatically.
Create 1D barcodes such as Code 128, GS1-128, EAN-13, UPC-A, ITF-14, Code 39 and Codabar, or 2D Data Matrix, PDF417 and Aztec codes. Check digits are validated or added for you, the preview is scan-tested, and batch mode turns a list of values into a ZIP of images.
Choose the Barcode type; the hint below shows what values it accepts.
Type the value, or click Sample to see a valid example.
Under Appearance, set Human-readable text, module width, bar height, quiet zone, colors and rotation.
To make many codes, turn on Batch mode and paste one value per line.
Choose PNG or SVG and click Download or Copy image; batch mode downloads a ZIP.
No. It draws the barcode for a number you already have. Retail EAN and UPC numbers come from your GS1 member organization.
No. Enter 12 digits for EAN-13 (or 11 for UPC-A) and the check digit is added. If you enter the full number, the tool checks it and tells you the correct digit when it is wrong.
For lowercase in Code 39 or Code 93, turn on Full ASCII. Code 128 holds plain ASCII only; for Chinese and other Unicode text, use Data Matrix, PDF417 or Aztec.
Export SVG, or use a module width of 4 px or more for PNG. Leave a quiet zone of at least 10 modules around 1D barcodes.
Use the QR Code Generator, which handles links, Wi-Fi, contacts and logos.
