How to use Mic & Camera Test
Test your microphone, camera and speakers before a call or recording. Watch a live level meter with peak and noise floor, record a 5-second clip, check the camera's real resolution and frame rate, and play left and right test tones. Nothing is uploaded.

Pick what to test: Microphone, Camera or Speakers.

For the microphone, click Start microphone test, allow access and speak while watching the meter; try Record 5 seconds or Hear yourself with headphones.

For the camera, click Start camera test, choose the device and resolution, and use Framing grid, Mirror preview or Snapshot.

For speakers, play a test tone on the left, right or both sides and adjust the volume.

Frequently asked questions
Is my audio or video recorded or uploaded?
No. Everything runs in this tab, and test recordings stay in memory until you leave the page.
Why does the meter barely move?
The microphone may be muted on the headset, the input volume may be too low, or the wrong device is selected. Aim for speech peaks between −18 and −6 dBFS.
Why is the camera or microphone blocked?
Your browser or operating system refused access. The tool shows steps for Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, macOS, Windows, iPhone and Android.
What do echo cancellation and noise suppression change?
Under Voice processing you can switch off echo cancellation, noise suppression and automatic gain to hear the raw microphone, as recording apps do. Call apps usually keep them on.
Why is my camera's frame rate low?
Cameras slow down in dim light. Add light, close other apps using the camera, or choose a lower resolution.
Can I choose which speakers play the test tone?
Yes, in Chrome and Edge. Device names appear after you allow the microphone.
