How to use Wheel of Names & Random Picker
Spin a wheel of names, pick several winners with no repeats, split people into random groups, or roll dice and flip a coin. Winners are drawn with your browser's cryptographic random generator before the wheel moves, and weights like Name*3 give some entries better odds.

Type names or options in Entries, one per line, or click Sample; Shuffle, Sort A–Z and Remove duplicates tidy the list.

Choose a mode: Wheel, Pick several, Groups, or Dice & coin.

Frequently asked questions
Is the wheel really random?
Yes. The winner is drawn with your browser's cryptographic random generator, with no modulo bias, before the wheel moves. The spin only reveals the result.
How do weights work?
Add *3 after a name to give it three times the chance, or *0 to sit it out. Lines starting with # are ignored. Groups ignore weights and count each line once.
How are groups balanced?
Choose Number of groups or People per group. Group sizes never differ by more than one person.
Can I pick several winners at once?
Yes. In Pick several, set How many to pick. Nobody is picked twice, and Use weights makes marked entries more likely to come first.
What dice can I roll?
Up to 20 dice with 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20 or 100 sides. The same mode flips a coin and makes a random number between two values.
Is my list saved?
Your entries and settings are remembered in this browser only. Nothing is uploaded.
