How to use Image Format Conversion
Convert images between JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, JPEG XL, GIF, BMP, TIFF and ICO in your browser, many files at once. iPhone HEIC photos and SVG graphics are accepted as input, and nothing is uploaded.

Under Convert to, pick the target format. The line below the buttons says what that format is good for.

Adjust Quality for JPG, WebP, AVIF or JXL, pick a Background for transparent areas for JPG or BMP, or turn on Optimize PNG for smaller PNG files.

Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Decoding and encoding happen in your browser, and the files never leave your device.
How do I convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG?
Drop the HEIC files, choose JPG under Convert to, and click Convert. Each photo is decoded in your browser and saved as a .jpg with the same name.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG and BMP cannot store transparency, so those areas are filled with the Background for transparent areas color, white by default. Choose PNG, WebP or AVIF to keep transparency.
Can I convert PSD, camera RAW or animated GIF files?
PSD, camera RAW (such as CR2, NEF, ARW or DNG) and macOS ICNS files are not supported; export a PNG, JPG or TIFF first. Animated GIFs and multi-page TIFFs are converted from their first frame only.
How large is an SVG converted to PNG or JPG?
SVG files are rendered at the SVG render width, 1024 px by default and adjustable from 16 to 8192 px. The height follows the drawing's proportions.
How is this different from Image Compression?
This tool changes the format with a simple quality slider. Image Compression aims for the smallest file, with a target file size, resizing and EXIF options. Files converted here do not keep EXIF metadata.
