Cut the subject out of a photo with an AI model that runs on your device, so nothing is uploaded. Leave the background transparent or replace it with a color, a blurred copy of the photo, or an image of your own, for one photo or a whole batch.
Drop your photos on the page or paste them with Ctrl+V. On first use the AI model downloads once, with a progress bar.
Under AI model, choose Fast (44 MB), Balanced (88 MB) or Best (176 MB), and wait until the subject is found.
Under New background, pick Transparent, Color, Blur or Image; for Image, click Choose background image.
Under Edges, adjust Feather and Shift edge, and turn on Crop to subject with a Margin if the empty space around the subject should go.
Click Apply and download, or Apply to N images for a batch, then use Download all (ZIP) under Results.
No. Only the AI model is downloaded. It runs in your browser on your graphics card (WebGPU) when available, otherwise on your processor (WebAssembly), and your photos never leave your device.
The model has to download first: 44, 88 or 176 MB depending on your choice. After that it loads from your browser's cache. Without WebGPU, each photo takes a few seconds on the processor.
Balanced, the default, gives clean edges on most photos. Fast is quickest but leaves rougher edges, and Best keeps the finest hair and edge detail at a slightly slower pace. Switching models runs detection again.
Drag Shift edge below zero to trim a leftover halo of the old background, or above zero to keep more fine hair. Feather softens the edge so it blends into the new background. Moving these sliders does not rerun detection.
JPG has no transparency. With Transparent selected the format starts on PNG; keep PNG or choose WebP. JPG only makes sense with a Color, Blur or Image background.
Yes. The cut-out is applied to the photo at full size. Only Crop to subject changes the dimensions, by trimming the empty space around the subject.
