    Frequently asked questions

    Are my recordings uploaded?

No. They stay in this browser tab. Download them before you leave the page, or they are lost.

    Is there a time limit?

No fixed limit. Recordings are kept in memory, so the practical limit is your device's RAM.

Which settings are best for recording music?

Turn off Noise suppression, Echo cancellation and Auto gain. They are designed for speech and can flatten or cut parts of music.

The microphone is blocked or not found.

Allow the microphone from the icon in the address bar (site settings) and try again. If none is found, plug one in or check your system sound settings.

Which download format should I choose?

MP3 for sharing, WAV or FLAC if you plan to edit the recording, and OGG (Opus) for the smallest voice files.
