Make audio files louder or quieter by an exact amount, from −30 dB to +20 dB, one file or many at once. A limiter or a gain cap keeps boosts from crackling, and peak meters show the level before and after.
Drop one or more audio files on the page.
Drag the Volume change slider, type a value in dB or Percent, or click a preset; As loud as possible raises the level until the loudest peak reaches −0.1 dB.
Under Prevent clipping, choose Limiter, Cap gain or Off, and press play to hear the result.
Pick the output format, click Change volume, then Download, or Download all (ZIP) for several files.
The limiter turns down only the loudest moments to −1 dB, so the rest gets the full boost. Cap gain raises each file only as far as its loudest peak allows, so the change may be smaller than you set. Off lets peaks above 0 dB crackle.
Up to +20 dB, roughly ten times the level. How much sounds clean depends on how loud the file already is; the After meter shows the projected peak.
This tool applies a fixed change in dB. To bring files to a standard perceived loudness such as −14 LUFS, use Normalize Audio Loudness.
This tool saves audio files. To keep the picture, use Change Video Volume.
