Make a video's sound louder, quieter or silent without touching the picture. Boost by up to +20 dB with a limiter that prevents distortion, and hear the new level in the player before you save.
Drop a video on the page. Its loudest peak is measured automatically.
Drag the Volume slider, type a value in Gain (dB) or Level (%), or click a preset from 50% to 200%.
Keep Prevent clipping on when boosting, and press play to preview the new volume.
To silence the video, click the mute button and choose Remove audio or Silent track.
Click Apply volume (or Mute video), then Download.
No. The picture is copied as is and only the audio track is processed, so it is fast and the image quality does not change.
Up to +20 dB, about ten times the original level, and down to −30 dB. The panel shows the loudest peak and how far you can boost before clipping.
A limiter holds peaks just under 0 dBFS, so a strong boost stays clean instead of crackling. Without it, peaks above full scale distort.
Remove audio drops the sound track entirely; it is the fastest option and nothing is re-encoded. Silent track keeps a silent audio track for editors and upload sites that expect one.
Then ffmpeg processes the sound instead. It is downloaded once (about 32 MB) and is slower, but the video stream is still copied untouched.
